Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone out there is researching the HALL surname in Hoopestown, Ill. My direct HALL line was living in Danville Illinois from about 1865 to the 1960's. One obituary around 1900, mentions that an Anna Hall, a relative from Hoopestown, was present when my great aunt, Alleta LEVERICH HALL, wife of Harry A. HALL, was killed accidentally by a shotgun, while on o family picnic, and that she attended the funeral. I would assume from the article about the death, that Anna would have been about 18 yrs old at the time. She is most likely the daughter or granddaughter of one of Dr. John Hall's (my gg grandfather) siblings, but unfortunately I do not know any of their names as yet.
