Bob, Saw your post on genweb. Do you know anything about the Smith family in Danville? My grandfather, Robert E. Smith, was born in 1923 to Gertrude White and some unknown Smith supposedly. We are real confused on this branch. His grandmother raised him because his mother was in and out of mental institutions, which is probably the reason we can't figure out who his father was. Her name was Cassie White of Danville.
