Hello, Here is some information on the Underwood Cemetery. I have been told there are many more burials in this cemetery. Does anybody know of any others? Thanks. Daryl Bruner LYRAD22@aol.com John and Drusilla (Morgan) Underwood were natives of Virginia. She was the daughter of Achilles and Susanna (Scott) Morgan. They were married in Morgantown, West Virginia, Dec. 10, 1818. He was a colonel in the 118th Regiment of the Virginia Militia in 1819. They came to Vermilion County, Illinois in 1827. He have the land for the cemetery as well as the land upon which the Underwood School was built. The cemetery is in McKendree Township, inside the Forest Glen Preserve.
