Granny. If you have access to the "History of Vermilion County", ( ICHS - DHR 977.365), on page 110, there is a biographical sketch on Robert Cotton. What could have happened to him ??? He came to the county, before it was formed in 1822 and was dead by 1824. You have been so informative and I don't really expect you to know the answers, believe me. I am four hours or better north of Danville in Wisconsin, so at this point in time it is a bit out of the question for me to get down there and find answers the experts can't answers. I have book open now, on page 110 they only speak of Father Marquette, Father Marest years 1700 are you sure correct pages book is set up for time period and townships, do you have any other info? I have info on Henry Cotton known as Uncle Harry and the Squire , father Robert Cotton, born in KY is this the same Robert.
