Hi Deb, My great-grandmother was also born in Danville in 1883 and was also German Lutheran. I haven't found her birth recorded anywhere, either. I hope someone will have an answer for us as to where to look. I did go through the microfilmed Vermilion County Birth Register, but did not find my great-grandmother's birth recorded there. My great-grandmother was Marie Krueger b. 1883 and her parents were Christian Krueger b. 1844 in Baken, Prussia, and Anna Maria Ringler b. 1850 in Bromskirchen, Hesse-Darmstadt.
