Grimes married Elizabeth Cessna on October 3, 1852 in Vermilion County, Illinois. His parents were Jacob Grimes and Cynthia Ann Guthrie, married probably in Ohio. I have their children as Urban Grimes, born c. 1820, Ohio, EP Grimes, Mary Jane Grimes, William H. Grimes born 1-8-1826, Eliza Grimes, born c. 1830, Milton Newton Grimes, born c. 1835, Lloyd H. Grimes, born c. 1837, Jacob Grimes, born 4-20-1840, and Samuel Grimes, born c. 1843. Mary Jane Grimes Snider died 9-2-1852 and is buried in the Snider Cemetery, Vermilion County, Illinois. Rebecca Snider married as you stated. I have 5 children listed. I have no info on parents of Alexander although he is listed in the 1860 census with Mary A. Laughton age 52, born in Pa. she is listed as a domestic and he as a farmer, age 18, both living in the household of Matthew Cain, in Pilot Township, Vermilion County, Illinois.
