How nice that it is the same person. The information you gave me is very interesting thanks. I thought William may have gone to Utah for work, I didn't think it could be for religious reasons, but it makes sense. I am not sure William Leeks Bennett is his biological father though, but you would know more than me: I was curious as to why William had his mother's surname of Porter and all the other of Emma's siblings were listed as Bennetts. So I seem to remember I looked up when William and Emma were married and I seem to remember it was after William Leeks Porter Bennett was born. So I assumed he was illegitimate and the son of someone else which was fairly common in those days of course. But I could be wrong or the records not accurate(I hope you don't mind my mentioning that). I have also noticed in my research in this era that sometimes the eldest son is given the mothers maiden name as well as the father's to form a double barelled surname. So it could also be this. However, if he was illegitmate thank goodness he was given the Porter surname otherwise I would never have been able to link Adele's research to my own. It's nice that there was another Louisa Clara.
