I find a Willis Hymer in the 1870 Somer, Champaign Co IL Census. It appears either there were two of them or he and his family moved back and forth between Champaign Co and Vermilion Co IL. Thanks so much. He may have been in Champaign County in 1870 and even born there. He would have been aprox. 8 yrs old. The only info I've seen so far is IL as birthplace and Pape has Danville with a question mark. As far as I know he was born somewhere in Illinois, lived married and died in Vermilion County.
