Moved to Vermilion County with his family in 1816 and showed up at Butler's Point in 1822. Harvey was a surveyor, tax collector, teacher and semi-minister. Married to Mary Ludington. Children: Harvey S. Ludington, John Q. A. Ludington, James A. Ludington, Stephen Ludington, Phoebe Ludington, Elsie Ludington Harvey S. Luddington - b/1835 Danville, Vermilion County, Illinois. m/Catherine Williams. Danville, Vermilion County, Illinois. Children: Harvey S. Ludington b/1860 Danville., Joseph Ludington (rumored to have died in Chicago), Peter Ludington.
