Viola Mae (Hobson) Hess, She did not care for first name, went by Mae, Mother's name Jane Hobson, listed her father as William Myers, (this I do not understand unless he was her step father or born out of wedlock) lived in Milford, IL., born 1865 March 8. She married Charles E. Hess, September 26, 1884, is the date of the marriage registration, he was 22 years old, father was George W. Hess, according to document mother unknown. He was from Paris, IL, lived in Danville at the time of marriage and was a R.R. Conductor. The had one daughter Mary Winifred Hess. I do have a copy of her death certificate, but I believe my Grandfather filled it out incorrectly and since Grandma Mae completed the marriage form, feel the first is correct. The information as to mother was Mary (Whittaker) Hobson on death certificate. According to my Aunt (now deceased) she was divorced-- which one did not talk about and also lived on a poor farm at one time. On the death certificate a widow. I have searched but have not been able to find other information. Would appreciate ANY INFORMATION. Thank you.
