Even more puzzling about the GAR in Illinois is a headstone in the Kankakee Mound Grove Cemetery for THOMAS DONOVAN. It says he was a friend of Andrew Jackson and there is absolutely no info as to why the GAR put up this stone in 1937!! Jeannie
