Benham is listed as a Member at the Old Soldier's home in Danville, in the 1900 census. He was 91 years old and widowed. Do you know if a soldier died in the home, if there was a particular cemetery in the area that he might have been buried? Do you know if any records survive from this era? George was living with his wife and kids in Boone co, AR in 1880. I'm wondering if he went to Vermillion, IL prior to being lodged at the Home, or if he moved there with his family between 1880-1900.
