    1. Re: VERMILLION CEMETERIES
    2. No,Velda, I can't answer that question, William K. Cottons' burial place. Quite a few Cottons were buried in Parrish/Parish Cemetery in Grape Creek, Vermilion Co. William K.'s "alluded to be" father, Robert Cotton died in 1824, he was a friend of Benjamin Brooks of Edgar Co., they were friends(?) coming from Indiana within a year or so of each other. One of the first cemeteries in Edgar Co. was in Brooks Point, I think it was later called Dukes Cemetery??? Benjamin, though he died or was killed while building a mill in Indiana, was buried in Brooks Point. Benjamins' daughter, Mary , married William K. Cotton in 1819. So, you are quite right those "fellows", William K. and his father, Robert have to be buried somewhere in close proximty. Isn't there a book published by the Illiana Genealogical society that lists the cemeteries of Vermilion County and it's inhabitants ? I think, at this point in time the Cottons in Vermilion Co., are a "dead isssue", I have never had too much response on this line, from the LIST. In one biographical sketch, Robert Cotton claimed he was related to the Puritan John Cotton of Massachusetts. Where are we with this ? Lois
