I'm trying to update my files and find I need information on Fletcher Rutledge . according to what I show, he was the son of Abraham W. Rutledge & Mary Huffman, was born Aug. 30, 1816, Harrison Co., KY. He married Anne Deck Nov. 20, 1836 in Vermilion Co. Children: 1) Wheeler (was his name actually Abraham Wheeler?), b: 1837, IL. 2) Isaac, b: 1839, IL. 3) Merlega (probably not the correct name), female, b: 1842, IL. 4) William, b: 1843 (Ohio?) 5) Dudley, b: 1847, Missouri 6) John, b: 1850, Missouri Also, possibly Anda, b: Aug., 1854, MO and more. It appears that Fletcher was in Linn Co., MO in 1850 and Anderson Co., KS in 1880 but I can't find them anywhere between those years nor when and where Fletcher died. Can anyone help with these gaps? Abraham W. and Mary Huffman Rutledge were the in-laws of my gg grandmother's Nancy Brewer Rutledge Carney Sloan. Don Claypool of the Illiana Genealogical and Historical Society in Danville, IL wrote a booklet on the Huffman family which also comes into my Johnson line. Nancy Brewer was married to John C. Rutledge, son of Abraham and Mary Huffman Rutledge.
