(Ray) Kepling, 57, of Danville, passed away at 6:46 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2007, at North Logan Health Care in Danville. She was born Oct. 17, 1949, in Anchorage, Alaska, the daughter of Lowell D. and Arlene (Fegett) Ray. Kay married John Robert Kepling on May 30, 1985, in Las Vegas, Nev. He preceded her in death in 1994. Kay is survived by: three step-children, Teyet and John Kepling and Jackie Ours; her mother-in-law, Lillian Jordan; a special aunt, Kathryn Fegett; her special cousins, Dennis (Pat) Fegett, Joyce (Carroll) Watson, Mary DeVors and Ron Ours; two sisters-in-law, Charlotte Sacre and Dorothy Rajgopal; a brother-in-law, Dean Sacre; several step-grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; her Illini buddies, Scott and Mark Fegett; and her beloved dog and cat, Kelly Dee and Ms. Kitty. She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant brother. Kay graduated from Oakwood High School in 1967. She then attended and graduated from Danville Jr. College in 1969. She worked for Danville Metal Stamping from 1969 to 2000 and was instrumental in setting up the computer department. Kay was an avid Illini fan who loved to do ceramics and go bowling. She also enjoyed decorating cakes, playing cards and growing flowers. She was a member of the Catlin Church of Christ in Catlin. A celebration of the life of Kay Kepling will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Burial will follow at Jones Grove Cemetery in Catlin. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2007, at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made in Kay's name to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
