My information shows Eli and Amanda having three children named Henry J. (probably Jefferson), John W. and Alvin. I don't have any records to back this up. I am interested in the records you have to substantiate Margaret A. and Michael as the other two children of Eli and Amanda. Margaret and Michael are names that can be traced through the Oakwood line (my line). My home is in Pilot Township on Eli Helmicks former property.

Aaron appears in the 1830 census in Vermilion Co., Ill. He is about 40 yrs old. I know he had at least two sons :Henry (b.1822) and Reason. Henry had a son also named Reason born in 1850. Aaron is also found in the 1860 Verm. Co. census (about 70 yrs old)taking care of the children from Henry,(James, Lucy, Reason, William and Elize). I would love to hear from others doing research on this family.Sincerely, Sharon. You can reach me directly at craftysamt@yahoo.com

Storm registered in Shelby County Illinois. He listed a wife and baby, not names, and lived in Windsor, Ash Grove Twp., Shelby County Illinois. Shelby County is several counties away from Vermilion County (Danville). This may or may not be related. Silas is listed in Shelby Co. in the 1900 census with his parents.

Hiram DONNELLY died 16 Nov 1914 in Vermilion County, IL. I would like to locate an obituary for him. Is there anyone who could help me locate one if possible? Thank you. Jen
If you have not already done so look on Family Search..........on the 1880 census the family is listed Vermilion Co. Illinois......Anna May is listed with her parents Simon B. and Ella Sears. Also listed is, Freeborn Sears (3yrs old)........Hays Sears (8 mo. old)..........John (father 71 yrs old). Also check out the Pedigree Resource File.......it lists David Franklin Ross quite a few times (some are duplicates) and lists his parents and it lists Anna.....it does not give her parents, however, it gives the name and address of the person that submitted the info. There were at least three different submitters.....You may want to contact them for info. Have a great evening.,,,,, Carol So. The cemetery is located near the "village" at the north end of the park.
