Here's a link to what appeared as James William's death notice in the Danville Daily news on September 19, 1894. http://www.hittle.info/photo/displayimage.php?album=9&pos=7 And, here's a link to Mary (Jenkins) Hanley's obituary that appeared on December 26, 1898 http://www.hittle.info/photo/displayimage.php?album=9&pos=8 Note that neither notice refers to Dodson Cemetery in any way. So, since my brother and 2 of my sisters walked Dodson, and since the sexton of Dodson has contacted me, and no one can confirm that the Hanleys were buried at Dodson, I'm now guessing that whoever transcribed the database erred in both records. I also now have walked Bethel (Blount Township) and neighboring Fairchild cemeteries and have had no better luck in finding my great grandparents' graves. Thanks again everyone for all your help in getting me this far in my search Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Well that conflicts, John's record at Pape says his father died of Bright's Disease and the obit for James William Hanley says he died of Rheumatic Fever...they are not the same. It is possible that the John is not the son, afterall. Margie Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. It states the father died of Bright's Disease, is that the same as Rheumatic Fever? The dates for John are 1862-March 31, 1898. I had 26 Sept. 1864 for John's bd but I'm thinking that the John listed has to be the son John D. Hanley that married Mary Frances Lockhart in 1889. Mary Frances married Aaron Phipps in 1899. Does anyone have any information to confirm this?? Margie Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
