    1. [ILVERMIL] Daniel Long PA>IN>poss IL?
    2. Still having a problem locating my Daniel long. He had a son James Ira b in abt 1847 according to him, so i keep hoping to come up with an 1850 census for the family that will include daniel, rebecca (wife) and one or more children possibly james ira and margaret . supposedly James ira was born in IN but I havent found them. I have had such a hard time with this it is like daniel never existed, along with Rebekah Patten Long supposedly born in OH according to son on mrg lic app in Champain co IL in 1869 . James married Emma Bruner.thinking emma may be the daughter of John bruner of IL the james ira long family lived in Homer and also in Vermilion co in later years. so I am putting my needs out there hoping someone can make a connection or give me an idea of what to do next. Margaret long married a man surnamed Wilson in Ver co IL, and she was older so I dont know if she was married before. she used Long on the app for mrg lic, so i have assumed single. thank you. I have been trying the following and have had no luck. 1. was daniel long ?(first name ) daniel(middle name) long? 2. was rebekah Patten born in OH? 3. are there any daniel/rebecca Longs buried in cemeteries in vermil/champaign counties? or IN? 4. Is there an 1850 census that includes an 1820's 1830s daniel long wife rebekah and son james ira in IN or IL or even anywhere else close to there? 5 possibly mrg info could help for daniel and rebekah does anyone have any where they could point me? 6. does anyone have further info on Margaret Long Wilson, such as census or death info buriel info etc? what else could i look for that might help? I cant see trees for the forest here and need to get a plan...help please!!!

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: darylbruner Surnames: ADAMS, MARTIN Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.illinois.counties.vermilion/7488.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: The following information is from the book "Cemeteries of Vermilion County, Illinois Blount and Newell Townships Volume 1" page 104. MARTIN CEMETERY Location of this cemetery is Newell Township (T 20 N - R 11 W) in Section 27, W, W 1/2, NW 1/4 on east side of Bowman Avenue, just north of Danville, Ill. It lies within 100 feet of the road, marked by a pile of rocks, no stones as originally set are left. It was started as a family plot of William ADAMS, on his original land claim of 80 acres in 1826. After his death, Edward MARTIN purchased the property. Following the "Milk Sickness" of 1831, it is not likely any burials were made on this spot as the Adams and Martins started the Briarly Cemetery about 3/4 miles to the north in 1832. From DAR records of the Briarly Cemetery, mention is made of this old cemetery and the known burial of William ADAMS, his wife, Nancy McCARTY CROOK ADAMS, and a Mrs. MARTIN, mother of Edward, Ralph, Joseph and Nancy MARTIN, and several children.
