    3. Chebow1 - Regarding your Smith....I have a Mahala Smith too but she was born about 1800 and married Benjamin Harris in 1826 in Lawrence Co IN. They too lived in Vermilion Co IL, in Middlefork Twp and are on the 1860 census there. The census says that Mahala was born in KY. I saw your Mahala name and thought there MIGHT be a connection since they were in the same township. Any help you can give me would be great - as I don't have a clue which SMITH family she is from. I did get a death certificate for one of her children and it had Mahala's maiden name as SCHMIDT. I know that they Americanized their names a lot back then. Looking forward to hearing from you. Polly Felts, 25, Female, with 2 children, a. Columbus H. 1 YEAR OLD, and Randal 2/12 Months. James A. Jones (auphilis@aol.com). Re: Felts, Columbus H Janine Butner Date: 27 Jul 2003 gbutner@succeed.net - I came across the old postings for this individual. I believe this person to be my gg-grandfather, but at this point I am going on a hypothesis as not all the records are available to me. I believe this to be Columbus Hughston Felts born in Carroll, VA in 1848/9 to John Felts and Polly (or Mary) Jackson. I believe he is also the person listed as Houston Felts who joined Company E, 45th Inf. Reg VA on 1/23/1864 at the age of 16. I believe he married Sarah Davis in Gallia, OH on 12/14/1869. This marriage had 3 sons that I am sure of: Earl Ralph (b: 6/17/1872 KY), Clarence Arthur (b: 6/19/1878 IN), and Roscoe (b: 2/23/1885 in Logan, Edgar Co, IL). My grandmother believe there were a few other children born to Columbus Houston Felts and Sarah Davis. (Sarah had been married twice after Felts and had two new sets of children so I guess it may have been confusing for her). My grandmother tells me that both Sarah and Felts were! married multiple times. Sarah went on to marry Mr. Shaw before 1889 and Mr. Lloyd before 1892. Back to Columbus Houston Felts, I believe the same individual above went on to marry Rachel Clark in Edgar Co, IL on 4/24/1889 (she later marrying Otis Parish in 1895 also in Edgar Co) and then Almira Allison in Vermillion Co, IN in 1895. Any information that you may have on any of these individuals would be greatly appreciated. As I stated I am trying to prove this is all the same person and any leads would be helpful. 1. [ILVERMIL] Rosser luxemberg or campbell search
    2. Hello List, I am looking for any information or someone who might be related to the Rossers of Georgetown. Rudolph Rosser married Elizabeth Campbell in Danville Court house in 1905 which I find them in the census. Rudolph was a bartender with his father. Maybe they owned a bar. Well somewhere along the line I lose them after the 1910 census. Elizabeth died during the Flu Epidemic in 1918. I don't know if they divorced, had any children or what but in the Obit for her mother it states that Elizabeth had a new last name of Luxemburg? Not sure if that was printed right or not. Does anyone have the surname of Luxemburg or come from the Rossar family? Elizabeth mother was Jennie Rooney married William Campbell? maybe PA. 2nd marriage was to Joseph Bertanio who changed the spelling to Bertan. Thank you Vicki ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
