    1. Re: [ILVERMIL] Howard Family (Aaron, Reason, Ola)
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: gregsocher Surnames: Howard, Martin, Waloce, Wallace Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.illinois.counties.vermilion/310.2126.2131/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I've been trying to determine for the last 7 years or so whether or not Sarah F. Howard, daughter of Reason Howard, is the same person as my g. grandmother, Francis "Mamie" Howard". My grandmother, Beatrice Martin, whose father was James A. Martin of Bath, IL., told me (before she passed) that her mother was Francis "Mamie" Howard and was born in Georgetown, IL. As I was sifting through census records, I can only conclude that she may have once gone by the name of Sarah F (possibly after her mother's middle name of Francis?) Howard. Would you have any other info about her or know anyone who could help me? The 1900 Census shows that Mamie stayed with her sister Emma Waloce (probably Wallace) who appears to be the same age as Emma Howard would be. There are other very strong indicators as well. According to the 1900 Census (Bath, IL), "Mamie" Howard was born 14 Dec 1885. She must have married my ggrandfather, James Allen Martin in Bath between 1900 and 1905 since their 1st daughter was born in 1906 in Bath. Thanks, Greg Socher Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Jane Rogers died in October 1856 and is buried along with her two daughters and son in Bloom's Grove Cemetery. Samuel married Sarah Ann Rowe Austin Flint and Sarah Ann Flint's Aunt on 4/11/1856. Austin and Sarah Ann were brother and sister. One thing I recently discovered is that Dean and Sarah are buried in the Maplewood Cemetery in Valparaiso Indiana near Samuel F Courtright and his wife and John C Flint Austin's brother. I do have a lot of other information on all of Samuel Courtright's children. One of my mother's cousins did a lot of research in the 1960's and this was given to me several years ago. 1. [ILVERMIL] DEMARRY Family Photographs
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" two old photographs identified as Ruth M. DEMARRY. The first was taken at the Trover Studio in Williamsport, Indiana, likely sometime in the 1870's or 1880's when Ruth was just an infant. The second photograph was taken at the Phillips & Bergstresser Studio in Danville, Illinois. This second photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Ruth likely about 3 years old at the time it was taken. I am hoping to locate someone from her family so that these wonderful old photographs can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family, or if you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
