    1. [ILVERMIL] SHANKLAND FAMILY
    2. Cathea Curry
    3. I am looking for any information anyone may have on the Shankland Family - Kendall Shankland b. 1825 in particular. I am looking for information the family may have on his wife, Amanda Harris. After Kendall's death she married Enos Gill. She is buried in Floral Hill Cemetery in Iroquois Co. While they lived in Iroquois Co, some of her children lived in Vermilion Co IL. I am hoping to find some living relatives who have knowledge of the Harris family she came from. Thank you for any information. I have a nice obit of Amanda and her husband Kendall. All email addresses I have for you have bounced back. I have a picture of my grandmother and her sister when they went to see Corder's grave in Illinois. They are standing with what the back of the picture says is their uncle...so it's either Cleave or your grandfather John Walker. I have another picture with the same man sitting on a couch with a woman I presume to be his wife. Would love to send you the pictures and get your opinion if I'm on the right track. Author: VermilionCounty_info Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.illinois.counties.vermilion/7535.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Have you tried Find-A-Grave: http://www.findagrave.com Davis Cemetery: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=105355&CScnty=781&CSsr=21& I have fulfilled over 150 requests on that site for pictures of stones - and I would be able to run over to Davis Cemetery sometime to get some for you also. My first suggestion is to add your person to the Findagrave Davis Cemetery (if they are not already there), then there is a button to "request a photo" for each person. This request gets sent to many in the area who do cemetery photo requests - so even if I can't get to it right away, someone else might be able to. If for some reason you really don't want to go though Findagrave (which is great for ALL cemetery research everywhere - not just this cemetery) - feel free to e-mail me with what you are looking for.
