William Paul Campbell born to Janet (Jennie) Mackay and William Campbell. Elizabeth Campbell Married a Rosser. Janet Rosser was living in Ver. Illinos in 1901 and belive William was living with his sister about this time when he enlisted in the Army. Have sent for birth record on William with no luck. Belive he was born in Brazil Indiana but was raised in Ver. Illinois as a child. Could some one send me in the right direction of when to go now??? Have been searching 3 years now on this family... His parents came from Scotland (Pasiley). Would not William the father had to be naturazeled somewhere to be a citizen???? Vicki Campbell

Hello rooters, Am seeking info regarding obtaining the death records of my GGGGM Nancy Ann SKIDEMORE SLUSHER (wife of GGGF Alfred SLUSHER) and their 6 y/o daughter, Amelia Ellen SLUSHER in Vermilion Co, Illinois, OR leads, suggestions or links as to how/where to obtain such Vemilion Co info circa 1860's. Old family records state that my GGGGM, Nancy Ann SKIDMORE SLUSHER, died in "both" Bluegrass and Middlefork Twp, Vermilion Co. Have been unable to find a "Bluegrass", was it part of Middlefork Twp?? Nancy died in Sep 1875. These old record further state that their 6 y/o daughter, Amelia Ellen died just 7 months later on April 16 1863 but does not indicate little Amelia's place of death. The close proximity to mother's death suggests Vermilion Co. Hope to find these death records or source to obtain them through this message. Also seek info reguarding place of marriage of Alfred and Nancy's son, Alfred Elijah SLUSHER. 1880 Ohio census information combined with these old family records show him to have married Illinois born Eliza (Elizabeth) Jane KELLOGG on Aug 25 1867 with place of marriage unknown. Again date suggests Vermilion County. These family records further state that Eliza was born in ____ Illinois (Vermilion Co?) on July 20 1851. Any info, suggestions, links, leads to obtain this info would be very much appreciated. I am searching for information on the parents of John SOWDER and Elizabeth GUTHREY. They were married in Ross County, Ohio in 1812 and moved to Vermilian County, IL. in the early 1830's. I believe that Elizabeth's parents were William GUTHREY and Catherine THEOBALD. Does anyone have any proof of this or additional information. I am interested in anything you might have. Thanks.
