Brenda, 3 years ago I made a pilgrimage to Vermillion Co for me WEEKS, HAWORTH, PRICE, & MILLS lines and took many pictures of gravestones. The connection to my HAWORTH's is through marriage (but aren't they all) and not too clear, but I have several pictures from Friends cemetaries of: Georgetown, Ridge Farm and Elwood. These are all little towns south of Danville. Some of them are really hard to read and are weather-worn. Are you looking for any names in particular? Im searching for more information on my GGGG-grandfather, John B. Cline, who was a potter and made trips selling his pottery as far south as the Sangamon River, IL and as far north as Wisconsin. Can any one offer suggestions on where I might find out more about his pottery? I know the location of his land in Blount Township, but no buildings remain from the 1800's there. The basics that I do know: John B. CLINE, born about 1790 (probably in PA according to the 1850 census, or possibly in VA) died 1856, Vermilion County, IL married 1811 in Harrison County, KY to Catherine SHOEMAKER/SHUMATE, born about 1795, Faquier Co., VA died 1878, Vermilion County, IL They had 13 children born in Kentucky, then moved their young family to Blount Township in Vermilion Co., IL in 1830. The children were named Spencer, Andrew, Nathaniel, Lizean, Sussannah, Merrica, Sarah, Mandy, Mary, William, John, Catherine, and Leusinda. I have information on their spouses and most of their children if anyone is interested. Thank you. Linda Hedges linda.hedges@ssec.wisc.edu
Finally found what I was looking for on the GenForum Van Nest page! I have a Daniel Cosart married to Rachael Voorhies on Nov. 16, 1820 in KY. If the Daniel you have in this Van Nest descendency is the same one - - - BINGO

Hi, I don't connect to the Whites directly; however, my Aunt Ruby Bloomfield's second husband was Theodore White and his sister was known as "Dottie", she married my uncle Clarence Bloomfield. I don't know anyhing about the White family other than that. These people were all of Danville, Vermilion Co., Illinois. What little I know abou the Smith family, I 'm trying to add to, so can't be of much help there. My grandmother was Mary Ethel Smith born May 3, 1891, in Higginsville, Ill. Her father was Martin Smith. She was raised by another family for some reason however. If I find anything out further for you, I'll Email it to you. Best to you and good searching. Bob

Hi Diana, FYI: The Rossville Historical & Genealogical Society has published a book of "Rossville Area Cemeteries". Included in the book are the following cemeteries: Bethel, Kight, Mann's Chapel, Mann's Private, Miller, Prairie Chapel, Red Top, and Rossville. I found about thirty STUMPS listed in the book, as well as Texanna WILSON VLIET who is mentioned below. Good luck in your ancestor search! Phyllis >>From Greg Smith: >Could your Jesse H.
