    1. [ILVERMIL] Census lookup 1870/1880
    2. My gggfather John FRANCE and his family came to IL between 1861 and 1866. It was stated in the death notice that one son Ambrose Hanibal FRANCE was born in Marshall Co., IL in 1866. The family appears to have moved from there after that time. I think they may have settled near Rankin, IL for w a while before moving on to KS. In 1878, daughter Amanda married Morris BOCKOVEN in Elliott, Ford Co, IL. Jacob Henry married a Paxton, IL girl, Mary Elizabeth PHILLIPS, in 1886/7. Phoebe Elizabeth married a BRENNER in 1892. I would appreciate 1870 and 1880 census lookups for John FRANCE. His wife is Ann M. Older children were Amanda Arvilla b.ca 1858, Charles Hamilton b.ca 1860, and Jacob Henry b. 1861 Other children in the family were: Phoebe Elizabeth b.ca. 1868, Emma Adelia b.ca 1872, Morris Elmer b.ca 1878, and Rosa Bedella b. 1882. Thank you for your help.

    1. [ILVERMIL] Looking for Information on John Osborn/Frances Hackworth
    2. Hello Listers: I am looking for any information about my 2nd Great grandfather,John Osborn, born July 1806 in KY. He came to Danville, Vermilion Co., IL. in or around 1830. He was married to Frances Hackworth, born 1809 in VA. I found marriage records. They were married on 21 Jan 1830 in Vermilion Co., IL. Attesting to both parties being of marriagable age, was an individual with the surname: Cook , first name is unreadable, but appears to be in part: ouriah ? John Osborn is beleived to be buried in Vermilion Co., IL. Frances Hackworth Osborn is buried in Baptist Cemetery, Fandon IL. I next find John and Frances Hackworth Osborn in the 1860 US Census. They are living in the State of Mo. Ayersville (later Powersville) Putnam Co., Mo. John is 54 yrs. of age. Farmer born: KY/NC Frances is 51 yrs. of age Keeps House born: VA Daniel 23 yrs of age Farm Labor born: IL. Hiram 21 yrs. of age " James 18 yrs, of age " Robert 14 yrs. of age " Isacc 9 yrs of age " John 7 yrs. of age " There were two daughters, Sarah and Susannah Osborn In the same census, daughter Susannah, is living next door with husband John S. They were married on 25 Feb.1857 in Putnam Co., Mo I have much more information on the children of John Osborn and Frances Hackworth Osborn and their descendants, which I will gladly share. John Osborn`s father is reported as being Joseph Osborn, married to Nancy ( ? ) I have probate papers for Joseph Osborn who died in McDonough Co. IL in 1870. A John Osborn is one of the heirs mentioned in the probate. Osborn`s (all Spellings) are a difficult group to sort out, as they all named their children the same names, one would think that a pattern would emerge with the names, but can`t seem to find one. I would like to know more about John Osborn and Frances Hackworth Osborn, and I am especially curious as to who----Ouriah ? Cook was. Thank You: Sarah Osborn Lynch in Arkansas
