This is the line I connect with through the Bowlings. Rebecca was a sister to my ancestor. Do you descend from Elijah & Rebecca Jenkins? Do you have names of the children of Elijah and Rebecca? Also, where is the area that was Preston Co. VA (W. VA) that you state Absolam Jenkins came from? Several of this Bowling line came to Vermilion Co. IL from Fountain Co. IN. Thank you for any information you can share with me.

They have worked closely with the county for years and have many of the same records. They also have a lot of the land abstacts indexed. They are currently helping the county to microfilm all the probate records and will have those as well sometime in the future.

They are both located NE of Danville,IL. They were adjacent districts, Ash Corner was district113, and Leneve was district 99. I happen to know where Ash Corner is as the schoolhouse is still there at the corner of Bowman Ave. and Winter Street. I don't know about Leneve. The old Ash Corner shool has been a house, gift shop, and I'm not sure as I haven't been there for a while I think it might be a lawyer's office or something now. Randy
