I never thought about checking the 1900 census for Leo. He should be living with his parents. I will check and perhaps maybe his father's name will be recognized. Kristie Setser Keeping Genealogy Free..... And copyrights where they belong....to the submitter http://www.gentrails.com

I am sorry, the first Cotton I mentioned should have been WILLIAM K. COTTON. Another researcher told me she thought his middle name was Kitchen. No proof though. As I understand it, Robert Cotton is the name of the man I am researching. He was the father of John Henry Cotton who was the father of my Mother-in-law, Hazel Cotton. Not too far removed is it? I don't recognize the names you have, but I'll bet you a nickel they are related. How many Cotton's were there in Vermillion County. I would think there were not many. The parents of this Goldie Mae Neal were Daniel Grant Neal (1865-1947) and Lucrecia Collins (1873-1954). D G Neal was born in Conkeytown near Muncie. Lucrecia was born in Perrysville, Indiana. Goldie was the oldest daughter of this couple. But she had a half-sister Viola who was the daughter of Lucrecia and her first husband Frederick Kloss. Goldie was born in 1897 in Muncie. She married Pearl Roth in 1913. They later divorced and she married Albert Jacobs in 1924. She died in 1982 and is buried in Stearns Cemetery near Fithian. Aunt Goldie was also the older sister to my grandfather Frank Neal born in Oakwood. I have not found any Neal connections for this branch in Michigan at this time. This Neal family came to Muncie/Fithian area about 1864. I have traced them back to Pennsylvania before they moved to Illinois.
