    1. The Wilmer Family
    2. Dear List I think my previous query was a little too broad, so I am providing some further information in the hopes that it may strike a chord with someone on the list. The family I am interested in is that of Charles Augustus Willmer (Wilmer). He married Maggie Thurman and they had at least 6 children, 5 of them being - George K, Mary L, Clara E, Lena and my grandfather Archie. George married Martha Allice, Mary L married JW Ervin, Clara married first Albert Cox,and second Owen Cline, Lena married Winnie Linne. George and Martha had 6 children, Ruey, Vina, George, John, Frank and Willas, born between 1893 - 1907. Clara and Albert had 7 children, Otto, Ercel, Marie, Grace, Pearl, Helen and Donald born between 1897 - 1916. Lena and Winnie had 2 children, Helen 1899 and Harold 1903. Archie and my grandmother had only the one child, my mother Eileen, born here in Australia in 1918.. There is a record of Marie Cox marrying in Vermillion Co IN, but the book with the relevant record is missing. We have located the son of John Willmer, but unfortunately he has no information that can help us find any other living descendants. Thank you to all who take the time and trouble to answer these queries. Cheers from Down Under Gladys
