I don't know how extensive your research is, but a James Juvenal (b. 14 Oct 1806, Ohio) mar. Dorcas Smalley, dau. of Benjamin and Polly (Liggett) Smalley. The Smalley family (NJ >OH >IL) migrated to Texas in 1848, settling on Brushy Creek in Williamson County. There is quite a bit of material on these families, as well as the Knight and Makemson families that migrated about the same time from Vermilion. The children of this line were Mary Elizabeth, William, James Calvin, Josiah, Benjamin, John and Synthia (who married Barlett Asher, also of Vermilion.) I have examined many of their records at the courthouse and the best source of additional information would be *Williamson County, Texas: Its History and Its People,* Jean Shroyer and Hazel Hood, eds. This book is out of print, but available through interlibrary loan.

It is surrounded by a rock fence about 2 1/2 feet high. It sits way back off the road and appears to have had a grove of trees on the side at one time.

Surnames: Courtney, Briggs Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.illinois.counties.vermilion/7455/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am looking for information on my GGG Grandparents; Robert B. and Mary Courtney. Robert was born March 6, 1790 or 1792 in Ireland. He died in Vermilion County, Illinois and some have said he is buried in the Old Partlow Cemetery. I have not been able to confirm he is buried there. I do not have an obituary or any articles on him or his family. Mary Courtney was born May 25, 1794 in Morgantown, Monogalia County, West Virginia and died in Vermilion County, Illinois August 27, 1860. I have not been told she is also buried in the Old Partlow Cemetery; but I would bet that she is buried there. My grandfather passed down 12 names of their children (and I think I have an additional child from the census records). I descend their Sarah Isabel Courtney who married Isaac Briggs. Any information would be helpful. Steven Briggs

    2. Do you have a Mahala Rogers Smith in your line? I have a Mahala Smith that had a girl named Mary Pugh (age 5) living with her and her husband (Abner Smith) in the 1880 census for Vermilion county, Illinois. I am wondering if a death listing for a Mahala Rogers Smith is the same person as my Mahala Smith. My Mahala Smith may have had the maiden name of Washburn. I am also wondering how the little girl named Mary Pugh connects. Cheryl

Reynolds submitted some Reynolds info at The Church of Latter Day Saints website. He shows as living in Danville, Vermillion Co. IL on Columbus Ave, 61832. I am posting this on David because he gave address at LDS--which is public, so I "assume" it is ok to place it here in public format. Could someone look in phone book to see if this man is still with us? He connects to my gr-gr-grandfather's brother, William Thomas Reynolds. I would love to give him a lot of info on his ancestral Reynolds line. I have a lot of documents on them. Thank you, Shari

    1. [ILVERMIL] CRAGER Marriage or obituaries
    2. New to list. searching for information about Orion Lester CRAGER and/or his wife Jessie E. CRAGER. Both are buried in Danville National Cemetery. Orion died 26 December 1996 and Jessie on 4 April 1982. I have no clue as to the date or place of their marriage but an obituary might give that information. No known children, with emphasis on 'known" as Orion was believed to have never married until Jessie was found today. Any help will be greatly appreciated. John
