Oh, sorry. Since I know they did NOT get married in Union County, I wasn't thinking of anyone actually able to tell me where they did get married, only likely places of the time and place for people to get married. Their names were Bernice Davault and Hugh Edgar Van Hoesen Patti On Sep 19, 2008, at 12:40 PM, Betty Fritch wrote: > > > Patti, you didn't give us any names. > > Betty > FL > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Patti Hobbs" <genealogy@hobbits8.com> > To: <ilunion@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Thursday, September 18, 2008 7:37 PM > Subject: [ILUNION] marriages > > >> Is there any information that might be helpful in identifying where >> someone from Union County might have gotten married in the 1930's. >> You know, one of those things were it was easier to cross the border >> because of no waiting period. Patti, I checked the MO marriage records and even using Soundex in case of hinky spelling, I didn't find either name in the MO marriage records. I just reread your initial letter and it came to me that you might want to check Alexander County. My in-laws, who were living in Jackson County at the time, rode the train to Alexander County and got married there.
