The Southern Illinoisan, Carbondale, Illinois, Sunday, March 28, 1965 EARL S. FOWLER, JONESBORO, DIES Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today for Earl S. FOWLER, 69, of Jonesboro, who died Thursday in Union County Hospital. He was a carpenter and a member of Carpenter's Local Union 2010. Mr. FOWLER was born in Union County July 16, 1895, the son of John S. and Della GARDNER FOWLER. He married Sue BARTRUFF March 8, 1915. She died Oct. 18, 1956. He leaves daughters, Mrs. John MCCOMMONS of Marion, Mrs. Gene HAMILTON of Jonesboro and Mrs. Eugene KOHLER of Jonesboro; sons, Gilbert, with the Army of Germany, Lewis of Olney and Ben of Jonesboro; Also four sisters, Mrs. Edna PECK of Pasadena, Calif.; Mrs. Lucille ROBERTS and Mrs. Vivian ROBERTS, both of Anaheim, Calif., and Mrs. Mae OVERSTREET of Marion; brothers, Ted of Jonesboro, Lester of Orange, Calif., Albert of St. Louis, Mo., and Robert of Minneapolis, Minn.; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Rev. H. P. BENEAR and Rev. Gary ROUSE will officiate at services at the Norris and Son Funeral Home, Jonesboro. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
