He is the son of Zelma Garrott and George Thomas Colboth. This makes Millington Smith the fourth great grandfather of Darrell Lee Colboth, my husband. I have quite a bit of information that I have collected through the last ten or so years. Most of it acquired through various internet sources. If you are interested, please feel free to contact me. Also, how do I get to the Millington Smith blog? Fran Marino Colboth Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Fran, I was so excited to see your e-mail today about Millington Smith....I see his name so ofen in the records and I keep thinking there should be a connection to my William Smyth who was the father of my Larkin T. Smyth [he was born in 1800 in VA] But from what we think our record of William Smyth is that he was born in N.C., that he was married to someone, she died and then he married someone else in VA...Well, he was in Alexander Co., IL, had a ferry across the Mississippi... I think he died in 1817 or something like that, his son, John F. Smyth was the one who took the census in 1820- he had a brother [Larkin T. and John F.] named Andrew who was a Minister and went to a County on the SW corner of MO..... Well, Anyway, I hope you might know something about Millington and Barnabas that MIGHT tie to my Smyth line.............It was great to see your name and e-mail.... Things are slow around here....we're just getting older.... can't do much, but we're here!!!
