I found Mary Jane Adams parents. She did come from Illinois. Have that info copied. Also found a Nancy Hitchcock who was in Illinois after 1870 and married a Lacey? Copied it out and have that. Think her Dads name was Jacob? Have to go check. The age was different, so I have it in a question folder. That site on Rootsweb following joseph Benjamin is good. Think one census showed Joseph and another a Benjamin in the census for our Joseph and Marys time..
