Peggy, In the 1850 census of Union Co., IL, there is listed; William Murphy, 27 b.IL farmer Patsy, 28 b. SC Lafayette 7 b. IL Preston 3 b. IL Elijah 6/12 IL HIGHLY 80 b. Unknown [listed as M][in the 1880 census she/he is listed as F] Mary Thormton, age 17 b. IL [from what I see, Patsy {Martha] name was Thornton next door to John Murphy 42 b. TN Charlotte 30 b. IL Van Buren 12 b. IL John 10 b. IL Jane 6 b. IL Jefferson, Thomas 3 b. IL W. M. 1 b.
