Such wonderful information, and it absolutely is my family! Would you have any information at all on a Mary Gaston or Ghaston? I don't have any of her family and believe she died in childbirth.......but that's supposition. My great grandfather Joseph seems to have been her only surviving child. I believe he may have lived with the Meisenheimers for a short time after the death of his mother and at the time his father (William) married Sarah Stearman. One more question at this time...for whenever you might have time to answer.....was there at the end of 1835 and the beginning of 1836 a plague or disease in the southern Illinois area that might have cause the death of Henry, Barbara, and two of their children?
