    3. Hi Louise, Sorry for the delay in replying, been very busy too! Robert Alexander from Missouri is the one I am interested in, I know his wife's name was Elizabeth. I have the names of their children but cannot find any further information. I would be grateful for any information you might have. Following your posts to others you seem to have a lot of interesting resources. Thank you, Mary Louise Erekson <lgerekson@bresnan.net> wrote: Mary, I'm sorry I haven't written sooner, been busy... Now, there is an article in the johnson Co., IL history about Wilson Alexander....he seems to be the ancestor of the Alexanders in Tunnel Hill. It appears there was a John Alexander, a native of N.C., he lived and died there....a son, Gideon Alexander was born 1771 in N.C., he married [John] married Patsy Sams, a native of N,C. Gideon was their son, father of Wilson, he married in Wilson Co, TN to Elizabeth Borom in 1806..... You mention your lines goes back to Robert Alexander....There is a Robert Alexander, age 38, born MO living in Union Co, IL Does this give you any ideas? I could copy these pages and send them to you, if you think there is any connecton.... A year or so ago you helped me find where my great-grandmother, Corneila Alexander, is buried. I'm still stuck on getting back any further than Robert & Elizabeth (Esra, Esley), Alexander, the trail continues to end. I would appreciate seeing what you have it you think it is related. I'm trying to find out who Robert Alexander's parents were and where they were from > > Thank you, > Mary > > Louise Erekson wrote: > Mary, I have read some of the e-mails about the Alexander family, > My mother is from Tunnel Hill, Johnson Co, IL...there were several people > in Tunnel Hill that were from an Alexander family....the history says they > came early from North Carolina..was in Wilson Co., TN and then to Williamson > Co. and Johnson Co.....Gideon, Wilson, L.D., etc. > > If you think this information would be of help, let me know. > Louise > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Mary Friend" > To: > Sent: Saturday, April 12, 2008 5:32 PM > Subject: [ILUNION] Obituary Notices > > >> Janis, >> >> Just curious, what are the first names of your Alexander relatives?
