Fox, 66, of Rt. 1, Anna, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the McCarty Funeral Home, Anna. Mr. Fox was killed in an automobile collision on rain - slick Rt. 127, a mile north of Alto Pass at 4:40 p.m. Monday enroute home from Murphysboro. He has been a farm employment representative of the state Employment Service office in Murphysboro the past 25 years and has lived in Anna 60 years. Mr. Fox was born March 18,1901, in Murphysboro, son of Samuel S. and Hattie Knupp Fox. He was married March 17, 1925, to Glenna Wilson in Cobden. Besides his wife, Mr. Fox leaves daughters, Mrs. Marcia Boyd of Anna and Mrs. Margaretta Sneed of Evansville, Ind., sisters, Mrs. Winnie Perrine of Anna; Mrs. Pauline Lamer of Cobden; Mrs. Gladys Nimmo of Tucson, Ariz.; brothers, John of Cobden and Lynn of Anna; and four grandchildren. The Rev. Waller Bartles pastor of the Anna First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Anna Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. SOUTHERN ILLINOISAN, WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 13, 1967 Truck, Car Collide Charles Lamer Of Cobden Fatally Injured In Crash Charles Van Lamer, 56, Cobden,died Monday afternoon in Massac County Hospital, Metropolis, shortly after his car collided with a large truck at the Rt. 45-145 junction east of Metropolis. District 13 State Police headquarters at Du Quoin said Lamer was southbound on Rt. 145 where the road dead ends at Rt. 45, near a state weight station. He apparently passed a stop sign. The car ran into the side of a tractor-trailer truck driven by Orval Cole, 35, Flint, Mich. Cole was not injured. Mr. Lamer, a farmer, was born March 25, 1907, near Cobden, the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Lamer. He was a member of the Elks Club in Cardondale. He leaves his wife, Pauline;two sons, Charles Wallace Lamer of Redding and Roy Glen Lamer of Cobden; one sister, Mrs. Ellen Brown of Anna; two brothers, Hugh Lamer of Tinley Park and Wallace Lamer of Peoria. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Broadway Funeral Home, Cobden, with Rev. Lyman Allen officiating. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery. Friends may call today at the funeral home. Cars driven by Logan W. Furong, 58, Carrier Mills, and Bertis S. Annis, Eldorado, collided at 10:30 p.m. Monday on a road three miles west of Carrier Mills. Police reported no injuries. Cars driven by Harold L. Dunns, 41, Cutler, and Hattie L. Huey, 65, Steeleville, collided at 2:40 p.m. on Rt. 4 two miles north of Rt. 150 west of Steeleville. Police said there were no injuries. She is survived by sisters Mrs. Pauline Lamer of Cobden and Mrs. Gladys Nimmo of Tucson, Ariz.; brothers, John Fox of Cobden and Lynn Fox of Anna; Funeral arrangements are incomplete at McCarty Funeral Home, Anna.
