Louise, This is the information I have about this family - Robert Alexander of Missouri married Elizabeth Essig of Indiana on July 20, 1853 in Cape Girardeau, MO. The 1870 Union County Census shows - Robert Alexander - 38 Elizabeth Alexander - 36 William - 17 Elam C - 15 Martha - 12 Robert - 10 I did find a death notice for Elizabeth, Union County, Jan 26, 1895. I believe that Roberts parents may have been Cyrus and Margaret of Cabarrus, NC but have not been able to verify. Thank you so much for any info you may have.
