Searching for information on John Hunter (born about 1823 in TN.) and wife Rhoda (born about 1824 in TN.). This family moved from TN. to IL. between 1846 and 1850. They are shown on the 1850 Union census living with son Ellis B. (born about 1846 in TN.) and a child names James Wilson. Any information on this family would be wonderful! Birth/marriage/death dates, ancestor names, where in TN they were from, when/why they came to IL., relasionship to the Wilson child, etc. I have searched everywhere I can think of and the only other possible trace I have come across is a John Hunter on the 1880 Makanda, Jackson Co., IL. census. Again any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
