Jennett 04 Oct 1866, she must have died or divorced, He then marries Minerva H. Boswell, 27 Sep 1877 Union Co IL. Does anyone have any info such as who was Sarah E. Jennett's parents or Minerva H. Tim: Sarah, wife of Sylvester Hileman, was listed as age 19 in 1870. She and the two children in the household were, I suspect, born in Illinois, but the entire household is shown by ditto marks to have been born in NC. If her age there is also wrong, she could be the Sarah Ginnett listed in the 1850 Union Co IL census (page 157B), as age 2 in the household of Barnet Ginnet, age 41 NC and wife Frances. IL Statewide Marriage Index shows Barnett Jennett married Frances "Frankie" Evans in Union Co IL on 1/11/1836. Frankie was listed as 42 in 1860 (page 116/117, P.O. Anna), and Sarah as 12 b IL. There were at least two Minerva Boswells. One born 10 Jan 1848, according to Union Co guardianship records, dtr of James Boswell. She married James W. Wood(w)ard in 1865. The other was born around 1852, and appears to have been the dtr of Joseph and Mary Boswell. I don't know what Mary's maiden name was. The Alfred Anderson Mary married was NOT the son of Timothy and Drucilla (Biggs) Anderson, as he is mistakenly listed in several submissions to the WorldConnect Project. I'm not sure nay of this will help, but here goes. If any of this is of interest, let me know and I can nail down some of the dates not referenced below). From the History of Union County by George E. Parks I found 5 references to BOSWELLs: Dick (After the end of WWII, "fathers took their sons into business as Dick Boswell launched his son, Stanley Junior, into his tavern business on West Vienna Street") Ed (listed as an alderman to the street superintendent in Anna, Illinois) Lester (1937 he had a small restaurant on Main Street and made 300 sandwiches in a matter of hours for some flood relief workers). Squire Thomas (says he made a speech at a Chamber of Commerce function and is from the Anna, Illinois, vicinity) Boswell Tavern (as soon as prohibition was repealed (1930's), 3 new taverns opened up in Anna. One was Boswell's Tavern on West Vienna Street Then in another book, titled History of Alexander, Union, and Pulaski Counties (1883) there are numerous references to Boswells. 21 in total. No Minerva listed. No Jinnetts listed but there is an E.R., Edna, and Sarah Jinnette listed.Also about 100 Hilemans (including John and Sarah).
