This is being posted to the three web sites that these families lived in, in hopes of an understanding to a possible tragedy. Hugh BAKER who's parents are assumed to be Davied (spelled as per the census) BAKER and Mary Louisa BARKHOUSEN. Mary C. CRAWFORD mispelled CROFFORD on the marriage license. License dated 3/15/1887 in Pulaski Co. Her parents are William CRAWFORD and Sarah (BARNHART) (LENTZ) CRAWFORD. They had three daughters: Pearl E. BAKER Bn: 3/15/1888 Pope Co. Lela Alta (Allie) BAKER Bn: 8/29/1890 Pope Co. Hughie Belle BAKER Bn: 8/22/1892 Pulaski Co. By the 1900 census the three daughters were living with the two grandmothers. Also have court records indicating that both parents are deceased. What could have happened to wipe out the parents between 1892 and 1900- an accident, murders, murder/suicide? Living in Arizona I have had a hard time researching this. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. TIA Talk at me later, Bob C.
