Now some would say they thought Silas and Nicholas brothers, but I actually believe Silas to be another son of Nicholas. In the 1835 census of Union County Ill - the only men over the age of 30 are Abel, Moses, John, Silas, and Durham. Abel and Moses are confirmed as Nicholas's son's, Unsure of John, and Durham appears to be a cousin - however this is the one and only record I can find on Durham. I have been led to believe that my GGGG-Grandfather George Burton was the son of Nicholas, however I don't believe that one either. Nicholas was born in 1758, George was born in 1819 that would of made Nicholas 61 years old when George was born! . In the 1835 census George would of been 14-15 years old and on the census the men having 14-15 year old males are Abel, John, Silas, and Durham. George Burton can not be the son of Silas becasue on the census Silas has 1 child bet the ages of 11 and 20 - this would be his son Noah Ervin. Abel is a possibility he has 3 males 11-20 and I can not figure who they are. I can not figure out the 1 on John and 2 or Durham. Any input on this or information would be great
