Also Davaults/Daywalts/Dayvaults and Cliffords from Rowan County are buried in Friendship Cemetery in Dongola. (their headstones don't say that though...I just know that's where they're from. One place you can really see the North Carolina influence is in an atlas at the county courthouse. There are listings of residents which give their place of origin and Rowan County appears a lot.
