I assume this is an incorrect spelling, but it's a long stretch to Waller's ferry that operated from 1806-1817 from what is now Trail of Tears State Park (MO). Anyone have ideas as to whom this might refer or where it was located? Mary McDaniel, wife of Joseph Waller, Jr (d 1823) married William Lamer in 1825. Donna, are you the one who wrote to me about an Indian baby girl being found along the Trail of Tears and was raised by a white family? Also, I haven't sent my material about the Indian traditions that are in my Greer family to Bill Oliver who is starting a box about Indian traditions, expecially from southern IL. Things are busy at Christmas and I still have to contact a couple more cousins who should know a 'tradition'.... But what I want to know is, about your Prince line. I have a Prince line that married into the Larkin Smyth family.... they were in TN, then southern IL and then to MO......They were married in Hardeman Co., TN, in 1846, moved to Johnson Co., IL, then to Dent Co. MO, he had a grist mill there..... his name, George Prince, her's Mary J. Smyth......they had 8 children....his father was John Prince. Just wondered if you connect to my Prince/Smyth line. louise [Greer Erekson] ----- Original Message ----- From: <gc-gateway@rootsweb.com> To: <ILUNION-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, December 21, 2007 12:01 PM Subject: [ILUNION] Corbitt/ett/it (Cherokee) Ark. > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Author: nannafever52 > Surnames: Corbitt/Anderson/Matheny/Prince > Classification: queries > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.illinois.counties.union/3747/mb.ashx > > Message Board Post: > > I have David Samuel Anderson (b:24-12-1833AL) who married Margret E. > Corbett (so far no dates) Their children were born in Black River twp Ar, > all died there.
