Nancy Hunsaker, born 1792, died 1787, wife of George Hunsaker was a Wilkins. Was she any relation to John G. Wilkins who died abt 1840 in Union County, IL. Where did Nancy Wilkins meet George Hunsaker to marry him? ( Trying to find where the Wilkins came from.)

Do you know if your McNew's are related to Permelia Emmaline McNew? I only know she m Samuel Houston Stapleton July 19, 1877, after 6 mos she went back to Johnson Co. and they divorced 10-15-1879. Hello Andy :) Sorry for the delay in responding to your kindness ...The info you provided was absolutely wonderful! This summer my father and I (SILL descendants) will attempt to locate Toppingtown with GPS, and with the land owners permission, will search the area with metal detectors, hoping to find a shread of the settlement that was once was. What is still elusive is a specific mapping of the village in hopes to find a privy/outhouse/trash dump to dig.
