Your research really helped me in my tracking this family. In the 1870 and 1880 census it had them listed in Morton. I can't figure out if they moved the township boundaries or if the family moved. Since Robert was a farmer and he was eventually buried in Washington it seems unlikely that they would have moved. Maybe it has something to do with how they conducted the census. So I guess that I had better start researching Washington TWP for them. I always thought that they lived in Deer Creek because my grandmother Florence Barnard was born there in 1888. She was the daughter of Robert Henry their fourth child. He married Hannah Evelyn McCloud. The McCloud's lived in Deer Creek and it appears that Robert Henry and Hannah went to live with her parents after they were married. It gets so confusing trying to fit all the pieces together correctly. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can find the ship that Robert (and possibly his parents) traveled on from England to the USA? I have not been able to find his naturalization papers although the census listed him as being naturalized. I am sort of new at this kind of research so I have to look to more expierenced people to guide me in the right directions. It looks like many people read your email to me and asked for a lookup. I apologize if this caused you any trouble. But please know that your information is a tremendous help to me. Thank you again. Hazel P.S. If you hear anything about the Barnard family would you please let me know.
