    1. [ILTAZEWE] Dillons of Tazewell Co.
    2. Hi.. does anyone on this list have any information on the Dillon family? I have traced my family back to Tazewell Co. My GGG Grandfather was Nathan Dillon. There were two of them (Nathan) that were roughly the same age. My Nathan eventually moved to Kansas about 1879. The other Nathan died in 1863, in Tazewell. I was wondering if these two Nathans were cousins? If anybody has any information that can help please respond. Thanks.......Mike Schubert ....Schubertx2@aol.com

    3. I have a Nathan Dillon born in 1748, probably in New Garden, Guilford, NC. He was a brother to my ggggggfather. Their parents were Daniel Dillon and Lydia White or Wright. I also have some barnards in my family. They were on Nantucket Island, Mass with my Starbuck and Fisher families. Most of them were members of the Quaker (Friends) Community on Nantucket Island. Many of them slowly migrated to New Garden, Guilford, NC and then on to Illinois. Could these Dillons and Barnards be descendants of the ones related to my Fishers and Starbucks? 3. Mike, The Dillon family contains some of the founding settlers of Tazewell County - there are still Dillons in the area today. I live about two miles from the village of Dillon and go there to vote - I noticed last November one of the election judges was named Dillon. Our website has some information on Dillon cemetery, including pictures of the other Nathan Dillon and his wife's Mary's graves. The page is at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~iltcghs/cem/dillon.htm There are many Fishers buried in this cemetery as well - in fact, the cemetery was originally known as the Fisher Burial Grounds. Our home page is at http://www.rootsweb.com/~iltcghs and our email address is tcghs@email.com If you are in the area, I'm sure we'd have information on the Dillons in our library's collection. Hope this helps, Mike Dickson Webmaster Tazewell County Genealogical & Historical Society ----- Original Message ----- From: <SchubertX2@aol.com> To: <ILTAZEWE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, June 10, 2001 1:32 AM Subject: [ILTAZEWE] Dillons of Tazewell Co. > Hi.. does anyone on this list have any information on the Dillon family?
