Hi Gang, Gosh, I am so proud of you guys, great list to belong to. First of all, I went to the Morton and Washington Libraries and could barely find a mention of either station. I called a local historian who is a train buff and told him our dilemma. He took a look through his resources and told me...Cooper Station at one time, was pretty good size. Farmers would send their grain, freight and livestock from that point and the little Jefferson School produced Lawyers, Doctors and even a Senator. There were trains going through there from the 1850's up to the 1900's when the trucks took over. In the 1920's a lot of the houses were torn down. That's all he had on it. When you go by, there's still large elevators, the brick school, a green farmhouse and the little brick building (newer) in front of the elevators that has "Cooper Station" on it. Smiles, Denise
