    3. Dear Amy Robbins-Tjaden: The Tazewell County Genealogical & Historical Society has a wonderful roots.web website that will give you all the data you need to get the marriage record you seek. Their website will also give you links to all kinds of other Tazewell County and Illinois information. An especially nice service, the TCGHS will conduct some research for you for a small fee. The website for TCGHS is: http://www.rootsweb.com/~iltcghs/ Best of luck! I am just starting my own research in Tazewell County. My ancestor is Timothy Crosby III who came to Tazewell in 1836 (b. 23 Oct 1799 in Waterville, Sangerfield Township, Oneida Co., NY; m. Mary Kinney in 1822), married (2) Rebecca (Davis) Ward in 1837 and (3) Lucy Marvis in 1857. Timothy and Mary had 6 children; Timothy and Rebecca had 5 children. Timothy's 2nd child, Delos Crosby is my ancestor (b. Mar 1823; m. 27 Feb 1844 in Tazewell, Cynthia Ann Brady (b. 24 Jun 1828 in Virginia, daughter of William and Mary (McClintock) Brady)). Delos and Cynthia had 9 children. Delos Crosby moved to Viola in Mercer Co., IL ca. 1854; moved to Sedgwick Co., KS in 1874; moved to Grant Co., OK ca. 1897. I have more information about this family line if anyone is also researching any ties to this family. Would love to correspond with you! Regards, Leslie Crosby Carignan LCrosby@ix.netcom.com

    3. Hey Amy, Nice to see you on this list. You'll find the people on it are just as helpful and friendly as the other ones to which we both subscribe. We have GOT to be related. We keep turning up ancestors in the same places (figuratively speaking of course). :) Dottie
