Hi Kim I have been to Minier a couple of times in the past doing research and was really pleased with a young lady who was working in your library, this was a few years back. I have two ancestor lines there in Minier and they are: Stephen O. DAVISON who died in Minier on 5 Dec 1895. I found his obit in the Minier paper that the library had in large binders in a corner. The papers were original and were very brittle then. Anyway Stephen's wife was an Emma ALLEN DAVISON who was very sick when Stephen died. Stephen's son, George W. DAVISON married an Alice M. JOHNSON on 2 July 1882 in Minier. Alice was the daughter of a Joseph JOHNSON and Sarah WOOLLEY. I haven't found out it Joseph died in Minier or not but Sarah later remarried. My folks were raised in Delavan which is not to far from where you are at. I was primarily raised in Washington. Love hearing from those up there and yes I do miss that part of the country.
