    3. The Stephenson County Genealogical Society has purchased a microfilm copy of the birth, marriage, and death records prior to 1916 from the Stephenson County Clerk. The Society will copy a certificate at $1 per page donation. Make your requests for an index search and the certificates to Stephenson County Genealogical Society, PO Box 514, Freeport, IL 61032-0514. Include a Stamped self addressed envelope. The marriages are available also 1916-1924 but those ae not indexed. These details were only completed October 7, 1999. Remember these are uncertified copies. Requests for certified copies will need to be made to the County Clerk. The microfilm cost the society over $700. Of the $1 per page, 20 cents must be paid to the Library for the copy and paper. <<< Julie Wirgau <julweed@goodnet.com> 10/11 3:55p >>> Thanks, Rita!!!!!!! :) Julie >I saw an ad in the Journal Standard some months back about a book being >published (I'm assuming by the Journal Standard) called "People and Places of >Stephenson County...100 Years of History".
